Maybe this isn’t the thread for it, but I had a question about how you frame respite for a kid with RAD? I am sure for a kid who finds attaching this stressful, respite is a break for her as well as for you guys. I am just thinking on the one hand you would be at risk for having her feel abandoned, and on the other hand, at risk for “family-shopping” and feeling like the new place is easier/better. You must need a respite caregiver with a really good sense of boundaries…but how do they do it? What is Hope’s behavior like in respite?
